Cara kerja
STR ic regulator
1. UVLO (under voltage lock out)
Regulator akan mulai bekerja jika tegangan Vcc start-up pada pin-4 mencapai 16v. Setelah power suply bekerja selanjutnya tegangan Vcc akan diganti disuply dari tanfo switching melalui sebuah diode penyearah. Pada saat sirkit telah bekerja jika tegangan Vcc kurang dari 15V, kontrol regulator akan masih tetap bekerja. regulator akan berhenti bekerja (protek) jika tegangan suply Vcc drops hingga kurang dari 11v. 2. Kontrol umpan balik (pin-1) Regulator bekerja menggunakan sistim PWM, dimana agar tegangan keluaran B+ stabil dikontrol oleh sirkit umpan balik dari tegangan keluaran B+ >>> photo-coupler >>> pin-1. Sebuah kapasitor dipasang pada pin-1 digunakan untuk mencegah agar kalau ada gangguan noise tidak mengganggu sistim kerja. 3. Soft start (pin-5) Pada saat power dihidupkan pertama kali, maka sirkit uman balik belum bekerja karena belum ada tegangan keluaran B+. Hal ini menyebabkan arus start yang berat pada MOSFET. Untuk mencegah hal ini maka regulator diperlengkapi dengan sirkit soft start secara internal dan sebuah kapasitr filter eksternal. Jika power suply digunakan untuk Monitor misalnya, maka frekwensi regulator perlu disinkronisasi. Sinyal sinkronisasi dari luar dapat di-inputkan lewat pin-5 4. Protektor Regulator diperlengkapi dengan macam-macam protektor.
6. Auto start. Regulator akan auto start secara otomatis jika mati sendiri (protek) setelah OVP atau OCP Trobelshuting 1. Tidak dapat start. Dapat disebabkan karena :
